Volunteers make it all happen

We are always looking for volunteers and organizations to sponsor and support our events.

Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for volunteers who share our vision for youth mentorship, hospitality, and who can help us plan, organize, and socialize our events.

Each event has a few volunteer needs, and we also have some key needs as a volunteer organization.

Any help is welcome. Start by submitting a Volunteer Application and tell us how you’d like to help out.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION

  • If your teen (13-18) is interested in a volunteer role, please have them fill out the internship application. We will look for professionals in the community who have experience in the role that interests your teen most and pair them up so they can learn these skills and have a volunteer role that helps the T1D community.

    YOUTH APPLICATION

  • If you would like to lead a specific activity or teach a skill, let us know! This could be anything from leading a hike to teaching how to crochet.

    If you have a passion for working with kids we’d love to have you volunteer at an event!

  • Decorate or setup before the event

    Clean-up after the event

  • Be a friendly face to greet and take care of our event participants.

    • Greet participants as they arrive

    • Sign in all attendees and ensure they have any waivers needed and have acknowledged the photo release

    • Thank people as they leave

  • Capture the moment.

    • Arrive 10-15 minutes prior to event

    • Take photos of the event, candid and staged, some for social, some that could be used as website assets.

    • Upload photos to Google Drive / Photos

  • Help design a coffee table book that highlights our community, events, and the benefits of community and resiliency for kids and teens with T1D. This coffee table book will be in the waiting rooms of Endo offices around the city.

  • Help with our Social Media presence, and coordinating with our social media inter, weekly creating and posting on our LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram channels.

  • If you enjoy coordinating fundraiser events, or have experience with grant writing, we could use help in any area related to fund raising!

  • The board is seeking a Treasurer, someone who has a background and interest in finance, and can be the oversight of the organization budget. We have very simple book-keeping needs. This role currently takes around 2 hours a month.
